Birthday Designs!

Hi everyone!

I’ve just finished my second year exams – hooray! Last night we celebrated by going out for one of my best friends 21st birthdays – I decided to make him a birthday card 🙂

I’ve seen some lovely geometric patterns on Pinterest so decided to have a go at recreating some with a few little touches – I liked the idea of having the colour randomly spread around the circle and I’ve always liked strong geometric patterns combined with dainty ‘feminine’ type.

I was quite pleased with how it turned out! Thinking of playing around with the design a bit more to maybe get some more ideas going 🙂

happy birthday

That’s it for now folks – this summer I’m working but thinking of starting some more plasticine animation and starting up a Vimeo account and doing a few short animations – will keep you all updated!

Enjoy the lovely weather and I’ll chat to you all soon 🙂

Thank You

Hi everyone!

This is a quick post to say thank you to everyone who has started to follow my blog and who is interested in what I’ve been posting here!  It’s so encouraging and exciting for me and it’s been a really big motivator too.

Feels like things are taking a very good turn and I’ve recently been getting a lot more joy out of photography than I ever have before. I have a load of photography books on Amazon ready to buy and a tripod too. I’ve never had one but I feel like it is the next progressive step so that I can try some long exposure shots and also some moving GIFs too. They look like a lot of fun!

Also, I’m going to Austria for a few days so I’m hoping to get some amazing photos there too, it’s right in the mountains and I can’t wait to get my camera out. I’m hoping to spend the rest of my summer with my camera incessantly. I’d like to start saving for a new lens and maybe an upgrade in a few years to the next series but there’s no point doing that if I don’t fully understand or exhaust the capabilities on my current camera :]

Anyway, enough rambling :] Hope everyone is having a lovely week and it’s not as rainy where you are as it is here!!

Good Luck!

So my lovely boyfriend has his Grade 8 Orchestral Percussion exam this week and because he keeps bugging me to do a desktop wallpaper for him I decided to multi-task :]

This is his good luck wallpaper! Had a bit of a play with the typography too as you can tell :] It started as a doodle but I just kept expanding and came up with this!

This might also be a good time to mention that I have another place where I post all my photos and artwork! DeviantArt!! It’s such a great website.
Except, it’s more of a community than a website and everyone on there is so supportive of your work which is lovely :]

So if anyone reading this has a dA account, or is just curious, check out my page and let me know what you think :]
